Oklahoma here I come!

A visit home to mom's is a really great thing.  For weeks she had been trying to pick out a new color for her walls and just in time she chose the one she wanted.  I got to paint and thank goodness I got more on her walls and me than on her new wood floors.  That's OK, she loves me anyway no matter what kind of mess I seem to make.
After I finished painting I had been wanting to try my hand at making home made marshmallows so I got my Martha Stewart Magazine out and went to town.  They turned out wonderfully and I ended up sending marshmallows to both of my brothers houses.  Sure wish that my brothers actually liked marshmallows, but that wasn't the point.  I was sharing, and as Martha would say that's a good thing.I have managed to Spend some quality time with my brothers Scott & Steve. Scott and I've been wandering around checking things out and today I went to Steves to celebrate my nephew Logans birthday. There was a real bonus to the visit. Oklahoma is knows for their tornadoes, in fact when I was growing up here we practiced tornado drills in school before fire drills, anyway my brother Steve bought his house a few years ago and it came with a "Fraidy Hole." In case you wondered it's a safe place to go when the whistle blows to warn for tornadoes, for some reason I kept referring to it as a "hidey hole" oops.  His is built in the cement floor of his garage.  I never actually ever got to see one up close and in person so of course I did the tour and it was the first stop.  Anyway Steve said the only way I could actually climb down in the Hidey hole was if I looked scared. Jess my niece took our picture to prove that there really is such a thing as a fraidy hidey hole.

Last but not least here is a picture of my brothers dog Ava, she is truly a beautiful dog and just thought I'd attach a photo of her.
