Lately down at the market I've been asked just where to I get my bees from?
Well many of us beekeepers order what we call packages from larger companies all over the United States. Packages can typically come in 2 or 3 lb. packages with the specific breed (if that's the appropriate way to say it) of queen. I use Italian bees for now, I've found that they are pretty gentle, and although they might not be the quickest producing as far as honey goes, they are easier for me to handle. So watch the video without judging me too much. I am no expert but this is how I've been "installing" bees since I've started. . . Remember I'm no movie star. . .just a beekeeper.
