Raisin River Overflow

I forgot to tell you that we recently went through some major flooding here. Ok, I say major Jim says minor. I'll let you be the one to judge.

BRRRRRR - Baby it's cold outside

Yes it’s really cold outside it’s only 5 degrees and of course my mom had to brag about how it was about 45 degrees there. She was a bit worried that they were going to have ice Friday, if I had 45-degree weather today I wouldn’t complain about ice on Friday. She lives in Oklahoma, and deals with really creepy weather in the summer like Tornadoes. I’d much rather deal with a little ice and snow than seeing my roof two doors down. It was pretty cool out last night. I looked out the window a little after midnight and it was almost like it was early morning. Ok, I know it kind of really was, but I mean it looked like 7:00 a.m. early morning, defiantly not 1:00 a.m. There must have been a full moon out last night.
I’ve been working on my vintage Mac stuff, having a good time. I like to tinker with them from time to time. Once a Mac girl always a Mac girl. My husband I think is finally coming around. He told someone that if they were looking at getting a new computer they should look at getting a Mac. I about died. How many years have I been telling him just how great they are? Pretty soon I’ll be hearing about how it was all his idea to begin with. I’m getting a new little “older” Mac on Friday from a nice guy in Washington State. A color classic, which is something I don’t have yet. I’ve got a regular classic and a couple of Mac +’s, a Performa, a g3 laptop and of course the I-Mac. Ginny down at the market told me she thought she might have her old SE somewhere and said she would look for it. Most women hide clothes and shoes, me I have a tendency to hide computers. That way when Jim asks me if I just got it, I can honestly say, “No”. He just doesn’t understand why anyone would be interested in them. The macs I'm interested in are the little ones, but you can only hide just so many of them before you run out of room. I really enjoy trying to figure out how to make them work better and upgrading them as far as they can go. But I’ve got a ton to learn along the way. Found a few really cool web sites with a whole lot of helpful people and little by little I'm getting there.
I’m going to market this weekend. Not because I expect to have a whole lot of business, to tell you the truth it’s because I miss the market. Spending time with those folks means a lot more to me than I think I realized. It’s been four weeks but feels like forty weeks. Can't wait till then.
Other than that here at the bee farm we are doing well. If you find yourself with nothing better to do on Saturday morning stop on by, get a cup of coffee from Flying Rhino and wonder on in and visit for awhile.
