Turkeys & Pumpkins - Oh my:)

I know it's early but holiday candles are on the way. Last night I started bringing out more of the beautifully colored pumpkins and turkeys and the turkeys well, they were a flying right off the table. I can't guarantee any specific colors so stop by often to see what we have to offer.
P.S. The light honey is in.

What a wonderful life!

This picture truly shows just how blessed Jim and I are. The beautiful candle holder is one of a pair that Jim's dad made for me. Deep down inside he is a real artist and loves wood and you can truly see how talented he is. I had headed to Shipshewana with my dear niece Jessie when Jim called to tell me that he had to go back into the hospital, while we were there I could not keep my mind straight but found the metal insert holding the candles (they showed the metal insert sitting in a bottle). I thought it looked pretty cool but right away I knew that if I showed Don he would come up with something pretty amazing. You can't really tell but he glued different pieces of wood together and then turned them for me and finished them off so beautifully that they truly took my breath away. Anyway I knew they would be perfect on the mantel.

Today we had a special visitor to the house, Sister Pat, she brought me a present and it was the beautiful little willow girl next to the candle holder with bluebirds on her arms entitled Happiness. What touched me even more than that was the gift she gave to Jim, the boy is holding a golden heart in his arms and Sister Pat explained to Jim that she knew that Terry was always on his mind and that when he looked at this he could think about how he had Terry's heart always close. Well if that didn't just want to make you cry I don't know what else would. I lit the candles on the mantle and though for a second just how lucky we are and wanted to share some of the love that we were lucky to have shared with us today.
