Where does the time fly

Somehow and someway I've been living under the illusion that I would actually get two seconds to sit down now that winter has arrived. I was told that this is the time that beekeepers are busy getting ready for the next year. Ok, I'm still so busy that I'm not able to keep up with what I've got going on and thinking about all the things I should be doing overwhelms me so much that i actually break out in a cold sweat.

It's been really warm up here in Michigan. We have not had a really good snowfall yet. What does that mean? Well it means that the bees are really messed up and are wasting their time leaving the hive looking for food and finding none. So it's not a good thing. While I'm not missing the snow and ice, I am really getting worried about how my little bees will fare because of the weird weather. I'm thinking about setting up a webcam in the bee yard so I can keep a better eye on things. I don't think Jim would be too happy with me if I did that though. But I think it would be a really cool thing to do. Another project brewing I'm afraid!

I've been very lucky as far as sales go, some of the people who were kind enough to buy from me at the Toledo Farm Market have called and ordered items to give away for the Holidays. I've shipped some, but I'm bringing product to Toledo on Friday for some of our special friends that just aren't able to make it up to the Bee Yard. (No, I don't think it's because the bees live here either), I think it's just a travel thing.

From Christmas to January I'll be getting all my books up to date, thank God I have a friend who loves numbers and paperwork, I don't know how I will ever be able to pay her back for helping me out like this.

It's late and I really ought to get to bed. Yes there are new products that I'll be brining out in the spring, but I can't really go into that right now. Apple Cinnamon Whipped Honey and Blackberry Whipped hone will return but a couple of new seasonal flavors will likely show up. . . . .

Have a good night and a great Holiday:)
